Ros, one of the founders of www.findafurry.co.uk remembers well one of
the first hamsters she got from a local pet shop many years ago. Largely because
one hamster soon turned into four hamsters!
 Thankfully Ros was able to get all the help and support needed to look after
her new hamster family – but many people aren’t so lucky. Nor are
hamsters - as one of the most popular first pets, hamsters often suffer more
than most from their new owners becoming bored or too busy for them. And, because
they are small and have fairly short lives, no one thinks to look for a new,
better home for them.
www.findafurry.co.uk is a website for rehoming small furry pets in the UK. Bringing
together rescues, accidental litters, planned litters and those people who just
can’t look after their pets any longer, Findafurry aims to find good new
homes for small animals across the UK.
